Checklist iconLibrary survey about research data management practices and services

The Library's Research Data Librarians invite students, faculty, and staff at the University of Utah to participate in a survey about research data management (RDM) practices and services on campus. The purpose of this study is to better understand the attitudes, experiences, and needs of faculty, students, and staff across campus regarding RDM. We hope to gather insights into how researchers across disciplines engage with or would like to engage with RDM support and instruction at the University of Utah.

Your feedback will help inform efforts to develop a centralized, cross-disciplinary RDM support model based in the J. Willard Marriott Library.

If you choose to participate, the survey will take approximately 15 minutes to complete. You'll be asked about your affiliation with the University of Utah, your views on open science and RDM best practices, and your experience with RDM services and support on campus. Follow this link to the survey.

Participation is voluntary, but your insights will be invaluable in shaping the future of research data services at the University of Utah. For more information, contact Kaylee Alexander or Madison Golden.

There may be no direct benefit to you from participating, but your input will help improve research data support and ensure that services align with federal funding requirements and best practices. Risks to participation are minimal. As with any online survey, there is a small risk of a privacy breach. To minimize this risk, data will be stored securely using password-protected systems (Qualtrics and Box) and only deidentified data will be shared publicly.
