Lock iconDuo will be required to access General Environment resources

Beginning September 2, all users will need to use Duo for two-factor authentication when signing in to CHPC systems. University of Utah policy (Rule 4-004D III.B.3) requires the use of multi-factor authentication when logging in to university resources. Many CHPC resources, including those in the Protected Environment, already require two-factor authentication; this update will affect systems that currently do not. This will affect
  • SSH and FastX access to Linux hosts, including the login nodes of the granite, notchpeak, kingspeak, and lonepeak clusters
  • Remote Desktop Protocol (RDP) access to Windows hosts, including the beehive server
