Software updates

We have installed the latest versions of MATLAB, IDL, Abaqus, and Ansys products. We have not made the new versions the defaults yet. If you would like to load the most recent versions, run "module spider" for the product to see the latest version, then load the module with the specific version number (e.g., "module spider matlab" to view versions, then "module load matlab/R2025b" to load the most recent). Please notify us if you encounter any issues with the new versions of the software. We will make the latest versions the defaults in one month.

Storage retirement: Group spaces on cottonwood5 and cottonwood6

Some groups have received email notifications about storage on cottonwood5 and cottonwood6 being decommissioned. The storage hardware is no longer covered by warranty, and it is being retired. If your group has received an email notification about group spaces affected by the decommissioning of hardware, it is important that you respond to the email to indicate your plans (to move storage to new hardware or delete it).

This notice applies only to group spaces on cottonwood5 and cottonwood6. Group spaces on storage hardware that is still covered by warranty are not affected.
